Robert E. Pruett, P.E.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Bob became president of the company in 1994. His experience includes 7 years as a project engineer with James W. Smith, Consulting Engineer and 24 years with his current firm.
During his tenure in the business, Mr. Pruett has designed and/or managed the design of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for schools, offices, government facilities, medical facilities, detention facilities and jails. HVAC systems designed have included water source heat pump, chilled water and direct expansion cooling systems. Most of the design work has been under the constraints of strict budgets and project schedules.

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
    Martin joined the firm in 1989 as a project engineer and became a partner in 1994. Prior to entering the engineering consulting business, Martin worked as a plant engineer, first at a manufacturing facility and later at St. Joseph Hospital.

    During his tenure in the business, Mr. Ford has been responsible for the design, specification and construction administration of HVAC, Plumbing, Medical Gas and Fire Protection systems. He has worked with a wide variety of Building Owners and Architects on a wide array of construction, renovation and system evaluation projects. On these projects he has worked as both a prime engineer and as a consultant to other Design Professionals.

    Martin also serves on the Mechanical Engineering Technology Program Advisory Committee of Augusta Technical College.

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
    Tom joined the firm in January 2004 as the Engineering Manager of the Macon office. Prior to joining Pruett Ford, Tom was the engineering manager and chief mechanical engineer for a multi-disciplined consulting firm focused on industrial projects; specializing in turn-key delivery of those projects. He also spent ten years as a project engineer in industry where his duties included cost estimating, engineering design, construction management, and start-up

  • Joe C. Powell, P.E.

    EDUCATION:
    BS, Agricultural Engineering, University of Georgia, Athens, GA; 1989

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
    Joe has been a Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems Engineer with the firm since 1991, and currently serves as the Plumbing Engineering Technical Manager. Prior to joining the firm, Joe was a Plumbing Engineer with the consulting firm of Harrison and Spencer in Macon, Georgia. Joe has been involved heavily with commercial and institutional plumbing since he joined the firm. He is experienced in all applications of domestic plumbing and medical gas distribution, as well as specialized piping systems used in laboratory and patient treatment applications.

    Lorrie joined Pruett, Ford & Associates in 2006 as an HVAC Engineer. Prior to joining the firm, Lorrie was an HVAC Engineer with J Dunaway and Company, Inc. for 4 years. Her experience includes design and project management of HVAC, plumbing and process systems for commercial, industrial and government facilities.

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
    Caprice joined Pruett, Ford & Associates in 2001 as an HVAC Engineer. Prior to joining the firm, Caprice was an HVAC Engineer with JDB Engineering, Inc in York, Pennsylvania for 3 years. Her experience there included HVAC and process systems design for manufacturing facilities.

    Since joining the firm, Caprice has been involved in a variety of HVAC projects, including various hospital renovations, nursing home renovations, educational facilities & central plant designs.
